The 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi took place over two days, June 7-8, with more than 102,000 candidates attending. Students who registered for the additional exam class on June 9.
According to the plan of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, from June 9 to June 22, the Department of Education and Training's Examination Council will conduct multiple-choice test scoring. From June 11 to June 22, the Council will rate the thesis exam.
According to Mr. Tran The Cuong - Director of Hanoi Department of Education and Training, this year, the exam scores and the benchmark scores will be announced at the same time to help parents have less anxiety, expected from June 4-7.
Currently, the Department cannot predict whether the standard score will be high or low because only after having the exam scores will it be known.
"The announcement of the scores will have to be checked very carefully, there will be no deviation. In particular, the marking of the exam will be done according to three steps, there is no such thing as loose or tight marking," Mr. Cuong affirmed.
Candidates can look up the exam scores for grade 10 in Hanoi on the electronic information portal of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and the city's primary admission portal (https://tsdaucap.hanoi.gov.vn/tra-cuu-tuyen-sinh-10).
On July 17, the Department of Education and Training and specialized high schools and public high schools will meet to approve additional admission scores to public grade 10 (if any).
From July 19-22, schools will organize admission confirmation and receive additional admission applications (if any).
One of the notable new points in this year's 10th grade admission exam is the adjustment of the admission score calculation method.
Instead of multiplying the coefficient by 2 for Math and Literature as in previous years; in 2025, the admission score will be the total score of 3 subjects (Math, Literature, Foreign Language), each subject is calculated on a scale of 10 and not multiplied by coefficient. This calculation method aims to ensure fairness between subjects, encouraging students to study all subjects equally.
