On June 5, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee said that the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee has just concluded regarding the recruitment of contract teachers according to Decree No. 111/2022/ND-CP dated December 30, 2022 (regulations on contracts for some types of jobs in administrative agencies and public service units) for the 2025-2026 school year in the province.
According to the conclusion at the meeting on June 2, the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee agreed on the policy of assigning the recruitment of 3,840 contract teachers according to Decree 111 for the 2025-2026 school year. Specifically: 960 preschool students; 1,152 primary school students; 1,422 secondary school students; 306 high school students.
In particular, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee agreed that the contract with teachers is 12 months, from June 2025 to the end of May 2026, instead of the previous 9-month school year.
The Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee also assigned the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee Standing Committee to lead the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to complete the procedures and documents according to regulations to submit to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and decision according to its authority.
Sharing with reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, many teachers who are subject to signing contracts under Decree 111 expressed their joy at signing contracts for 12 months instead of just 9 months as before. "May 31 was the expiration date of the contract. Now that we can sign continuously (all 3 months of summer), the new salary benefits and insurance payment regimes are guaranteed, less to worry about" - a teacher said.

Signing a seamless contract from June this year to the end of May next year helps us feel secure in our work, no longer having to worry too much about what to do in the 3 summer months to make ends meet, and to be more attached and dedicated to the education career" - another teacher shared.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, many teachers in Thanh Hoa who signed labor contracts under Decree 111/2022/ND-CP were worried about the contract being shortened from 12 months to 9 months (until May 31, 2025, the contract expired and they were not allowed to sign for 3 summer months).
According to teachers, if they cannot sign a contract for 3 months in the summer, it means they do not have income and cannot fully pay insurance. In addition, they are also worried that after the summer vacation, when the new school year starts, they will not be able to re-sign the contract, because the signing depends on the needs of the unit - if there is a lack, then sign, if there is a surplus, then leave.
