On November 17, the 10th grade admissions consulting event called AFTERGLOW was held at Dong Da Secondary School (Hanoi) with the participation of many students and parents.
The event was organized by the non-profit educational project WITH - We Inspire Towards Highschool. This is a project founded by high school students in Hanoi.
At the event, secondary school students had the opportunity to meet and exchange directly with their peers and seniors from many specialized and key high schools in Hanoi. Through this, students were listened to and provided with necessary information about the 10th grade entrance exam, along with learning methods, how to build a review roadmap...
In addition to admissions counseling activities, the program also organizes interactive exhibitions, games, and craft making activities.
In particular, with the interactive exhibition area, secondary school students have the opportunity to relieve pressure, get rid of negative thoughts, and listen to the confidences of their peers depicted on the displayed works, creating a space for sharing meaning and emotions.
Attending the program, Pham Minh Tu - a student at Nguyen Truong To Secondary School - shared: "Coming to the admissions consulting area, I listened to sincere sharing about how to overcome psychological difficulties, as well as tips to determine the most suitable high school for myself. Thanks to the sincere advice as well as useful information shared by the speakers, I have gradually resolved the difficulties and worries in this arduous exam preparation journey."
Sharing about the motivation for establishing the project and organizing this event, Nguyen Tran Gia Linh - Head of the program's organizing committee - said that the entrance exam for grade 10 in Hanoi, especially for specialized and key high schools, is notable for its difficulty and fierce competition. Therefore, students and parents always feel pressured and stressed before this transition exam.
"Our project was established and admissions consulting activities were organized with the goal of supporting, orienting, sharing learning experiences, and listening and answering the concerns and confidences of candidates, thereby helping secondary school students easily build a learning roadmap and be more confident on the journey to conquer the universe" - Gia Linh said.
