On November 5, the Department of Education and Training issued an urgent dispatch, requesting the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes, wards and towns ( directing affiliated educational institutions) and heads of educational institutions in the province to proactively respond to storm No. 13.
Accordingly, all students in the province will be off school from the afternoon of November 6 until further notice, in order to proactively prevent and combat storm No. 13.
In addition to giving students a day off, the Department of Education and Training also requires educational institutions across the province to urgently deploy comprehensive response work. Units need to focus on inspecting and reinforcing corrugated iron roofs, windows, trees, classrooms, and boarding areas to avoid damage; at the same time, relocating and preserving assets and teaching equipment to safe places and Backup electronic data.
Educational institutions are ready to support and admit people to schools to avoid and take shelter from the storm if required.
The Department of Education and Training also requires educational institutions to step up propaganda so that cadres, teachers, and students are vigilant and proactively prevent storms. Schools must maintain regular contact with students and teachers in isolated areas and be ready to be on duty 24/7.
After the storm, units need to urgently repair and clean up to ensure absolute safety before welcoming students back to school.
