On the morning of June 1, more than 11,000 candidates in Da Nang arrived at the exam locations to complete procedures, listen to the dissemination of exam regulations and check personal information, and prepare for the 10th grade entrance exam for public high school in the 2025-2026 school year. The official exam took place from June 2 to 4, with 11,854 candidates registering to take the exam. They will take part in 3 subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language.
To serve the exam, the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Da Nang has prepared 28 exam locations with 491 exam rooms at high schools and secondary schools in the city. Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted alone has 2 exam locations with 57 exam rooms. The enrollment quota for public high schools is 10,296 students, the quota for the continuing education system is 714 students.
The Department of Education and Training has established inspection teams to review all conditions at the exam locations, ensuring full compliance with the requirements of facilities, from the exam room, reserve room, to functional rooms such as medical rooms, exam preservation rooms, exams... Each exam room is arranged with 24 tables and chairs, ensuring a minimum distance of 1.2m between candidates, with enough seats for exam-takers. Unused rooms are carefully sealed. computers and printers at the exam locations are not connected to the network.
Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Pham Tan Ngoc Thuy affirmed that the preparation work has been completed. He also added that students had focused on studying the exam regulations on the morning of June 1 and would officially enter the first exam subject on the morning of June 2.
"Since the beginning of the second period this school year, the Department has also issued 10th grade enrollment structures, as well as the exam structure in Le Quy Don. At the same time, the school also has an early plan, since the Department issued the exam matrix, all junior high schools have plans to review and strengthen them," Mr. Pham Tan Ngoc Thuy said.
According to Mr. Pham Tan Ngoc Thuy, on the morning of June 1, at around 9:00 a.m., the Department summarized the number of students. This is also an important exam, so students come to study the regulations to know the exam scores and exam rooms, and to be able to prepare mentally best.
Along with preparing for facilities and personnel, the Department also paid special attention to security, order and traffic safety during the exam. More than 2,000 teachers were mobilized to review exams and mark exams. Nearly 120 officers and soldiers of the city police were mobilized to ensure security and order at the exam star printing points and the exam locations.
Roads at risk of congestion are closely monitored, not allowing illegal parking or large gatherings. Parents are advised to pick up and drop off their children in the right place, keeping a safe distance to avoid obstructing traffic.
