On November 17, according to Lao Dong's source, the People's Committee of Lang Son province has just issued an Order to build emergency works for four ethnic boarding schools at the primary and secondary levels in border communes, in order to complete and put into use before the 2026-2027 school year.
According to the Decision to issue the Order to build emergency works, four schools will be deployed, including Khuat Xa Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Khuat Xa commune). The scale of 36 classes, 1,260 students, area of 4.75 hectares, total investment of 265 billion VND.
Kien Moc Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Kien Moc Commune). The scale of 27 classes, 945 students, area of 6.98 hectares, total investment of 217 billion VND.
Mau Son Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities ( Mau Son Commune). The scale of 36 classes, 1,260 students, area of 6.8 hectares, total investment of 348 billion VND.
Quoc Khanh Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Quoc Khanh Commune). The scale of 36 classes, 1,260 students, area of 6.3 hectares, total investment of 348 billion VND.
The total investment of the entire project is up to 1,178 billion VND, using the State budget.
The Provincial People's Committee requires investors including the Department of Education and Training and the Provincial Police to complete all procedures for preparing, appraising, approving feasibility study reports and designing construction drawings within 3 months from the date of start.
At the same time, all relevant departments and branches must coordinate closely to ensure the progress of construction in 2025 and put the project into use before September 2026.
The Provincial People's Committee also requested the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to preside over the launch of a movement to mobilize organizations, businesses, and people to join hands to contribute to the program "The whole country for beloved border students" and "Campany to build schools for border communes".
According to the Construction Order, the works must be designed according to national school standards, with a synchronous and modern system of classrooms, functional areas, dormitories, kitchens, sports areas, etc. Ensure long-term teaching and learning quality, sustainable technical infrastructure, advanced equipment and architecture in harmony with local cultural identity.
These projects are part of a series of 11 inter-level boarding schools in border areas of Lang Son province, part of the program to build 248 border schools nationwide according to Notice No. 81-TB/TW of the Politburo and Resolution No. 298/NQ-CP of the Government.
