The authorities seized 5 samples of plant-based wine that the group used to send for testing and clarify the cause.
At noon on October 19, six people in Son Lam commune had seizures, coma, and stopped breathing after drinking alcohol. The victims were given emergency care at Thanh Chuong General Hospital, then transferred to Nghe An General Friendship Hospital. Initial diagnoses recorded acute poisoning, respiratory inhibition, decreased consciousness, damage to the heart and many organs.
