At the beginning of March 2026, in Muong Khuong commune, the appearance of new educational projects is gradually forming after a period of continuous construction.
Although the construction site temporarily receded during the Lunar New Year holiday, many important items have become clear, showing a strong shift in education infrastructure in the border region.
Right next to the existing Muong Khuong High School No. 1, the new school project with a total investment of about 70 billion VND has completed the foundation and is shaping the main building blocks.

Looking down from above, the rows of concrete pillars and structures stand out in the hilly area, clearly depicting a spacious school in the near future.
According to research, the project is invested synchronously with classroom blocks, administration areas and technical infrastructure. When put into use, the project will contribute to reducing the burden on the old facility, while creating a better learning environment for local students.
Mr. Hoang Cung Son - Project Commander - said that before the Tet holiday, the unit had focused on completing many important items to ensure general progress. Immediately after the recent holiday, the contractor mobilized manpower, machinery, and organized accelerated construction to strive to hand over the project before September 2026.

Not far away, the Muong Khuong Primary and Secondary Boarding School project with a total investment of 215 billion VND is also gradually showing its scale. On a large ground, many areas have been leveled to design elevation, and some building blocks have completed the concrete lining and foundation.
The project is synchronously planned including classroom blocks, student dormitory, multi-purpose building, kitchen, administration area and technical infrastructure system.
When completed, the project will meet the learning and living needs of highland students, especially children of ethnic minorities.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Cuong - Deputy Construction Site Commander - said that the unit has proactively completed many basic tasks before the holidays. After the Lunar New Year, the contractor will simultaneously deploy construction teams, and increase on-site personnel to compensate for progress.
On March 1st, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Phan Van Vinh, official of the Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, informed that this is a key educational project group of the locality, so the investor regularly inspects the site and urges the contractor to prepare sufficient conditions to accelerate immediately after the holidays. The goal is to ensure progress, quality and safety throughout the implementation process.
From the 10th day of the first lunar month, all workers and laborers have returned to work at the project. We continuously urge the contractor to accelerate construction, ensuring the handover and use of the works before the new school year in 2026," Mr. Vinh added.

The simultaneous investment in two large-scale school projects not only gradually completes educational infrastructure but also creates a development highlight for the border area.
As new schools gradually take shape and are expected to accelerate after Tet, the locality expects to open up a more spacious learning environment for students, thereby contributing to improving the quality of human resources in the border region of the Fatherland.
