In the first days of the new year, in Pha Long commune, the working atmosphere at the construction site of Pha Long Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School is still urgent.

Mr. Tran An Ninh, Construction Site Commander, shared that due to harsh weather conditions, the construction unit arranged flexible shifts according to each favorable time frame. Heavy tasks such as excavating foundations, tying steel reinforcement, pouring foundation concrete, steel processing and preparing materials are deployed in parallel, ensuring that the construction site maintains continuous pace and is not interrupted.
According to Mr. Ninh, the arrangement of shifts is carefully calculated to concentrate construction forces, ensure project progress, and ensure the health of workers.

In the dormitory area, rows of brick foundations are gradually becoming clear. In the classroom area, workers are installing steel reinforcement to prepare for concrete pouring.
The project to build Pha Long Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School is identified as a key educational project of Lao Cai province in the border highland area.
The project has a total investment of 220 billion VND. The expected construction time is 285 days, with the goal of completing the entire project on August 30, 2026.

According to the Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project is built on an area of about 8 hectares, including 11 building blocks with full items such as administration building, classrooms, department building, dormitory, teacher dormitory, multi-purpose building, cultural house, dining - kitchen and auxiliary technical infrastructure system. When completed, the school is expected to serve a scale of 28 classes with about 980 students.
Regarding progress, ground leveling work has reached over 90%. In the elementary school classroom area, the unit has completed the construction of the 2nd floor column reinforcement, and at the same time installed reinforcement and beam and floor molds, reaching over 50%. The subject classroom building has completed the 1st floor column concrete and is continuing to install beams and floors, reaching about 30%.
In dormitory No. 1, the concrete foundation and column necks have been completed, the foundation wall construction has reached about 20%. Dormitory No. 2 has completed the foundation concrete and foundation beams. Meanwhile, the teacher dormitory is being installed with reinforced foundation and foundation bracing. The total volume carried out to date has reached over 15% of the contract value.
In terms of land, all 8 hectares have been recovered and handed over to the construction unit.

Mr. Phung Tuan Diep, Project Management Director of the construction project (Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board) said that the Board has requested the contractor to organize construction throughout Tet to compensate for the previous delay in progress. The goal is to bring the project to completion according to the plan, soon meeting the learning needs of students here.
