When the spring atmosphere spread throughout Pleiku mountain town to remote villages, in border communes such as Ia Mo, Ia Puch, Ia Pnon, Ia Dom... the sound of machinery and motorized vehicles still echoed non-stop.
Construction units are striving to "race", trying to complete the school project items within 230 days, striving to inaugurate in August 2026.
A representative of a construction unit said that the end of the year coincides with the dry season in the Central Highlands, so the weather is favorable for concrete pouring, foundationing and infrastructure completion. However, the pressure of progress is very high due to the requirement to complete the workload according to the set plan.

To ensure progress, the units have mobilized maximum manpower and machinery, proactively sourced materials, and closely coordinated with local authorities to promptly remove arising problems.
For people in border areas, each completed project is not only a change in infrastructure and education but also opens up opportunities for socio-economic development. When schools are put into use, children of ethnic minorities will have better learning conditions, contributing to improving people's knowledge and the quality of local human resources.

Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requests the Department of Education and Training, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to regularly inspect and urge progress; request contractors to ensure construction quality, labor safety and environmental sanitation. The consistent viewpoint is not to run after progress and underestimate technical factors. All items are closely supervised, and each part is accepted in accordance with regulations.
According to the Gia Lai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project of 7 border school areas has a total investment of more than 1,500 billion VND, divided into 30 bidding packages in the form of short-term direct appointment.

The winning bidding consortium includes: Xuan Loc Gia Lai Co., Ltd.; Ha Phong Gia Lai Construction Co., Ltd.; Nam Sao Joint Stock Company; Phu Thuan Construction Joint Stock Company; Nam Loi Phat Co., Ltd.
Contractors will build new classrooms, functional rooms; teacher dormitories; dormitories, dining rooms; fire prevention and fighting systems and synchronous technical infrastructure items.
The key project is implemented according to Notice Conclusion No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 298/NQ-CP dated September 26, 2025 of the Government on investment in building schools in border communes.
In Gia Lai, 7 border communes including Ia Mo, Ia Puch, Ia Pnon, Ia Nan, Ia Dom, Ia Chia, Ia O will be built with 7 inter-level boarding primary and secondary schools with a scale of 212 classes, meeting about 7,420 students.
Previously, at the project groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung emphasized that the construction of inter-level boarding schools in border communes is a humane policy, with long-term strategic significance, contributing to improving the quality of education in remote and isolated areas, ethnic minority areas; and at the same time consolidating national defense and security, building a solid "people's heart formation".
The Deputy Prime Minister requested Gia Lai province to drastically direct the project to be constructed on schedule, ensuring quality and safety; and at the same time prepare a team of teachers, management staff and operating plans so that schools can soon become "houses of knowledge" - places to nurture the future for children in border areas.
