Time points to note in the teacher recruitment process in Ho Chi Minh City

HCMC - In the 2025-2026 school year, the city needs to recruit more than 6,000 teachers for all levels of education from kindergarten to high school.

According to the plan, teacher recruitment will be carried out through the form of admission in 2 rounds.

Round 1: Check the admission conditions on the application form according to the requirements of the job position to be recruited, if they meet the requirements, the candidate will be able to participate in round 2.

Round 2: Exam on specialized professional subjects to test professional competence and teaching skills. The exam is a practical exam, lasting 30 minutes with the content of testing knowledge and professional skills.

The teacher recruitment process consists of 6 steps, with the following timelines:

Step 1: Receive the application form and collect the exam fee.

Before 5:00 p.m. on September 12, recruitment candidates registered online at the link https://tuyendung.hcm.edu.vn. Then, submit the application form at the address of each area.

Step 2: Notify those who are eligible to compete in round 2.

It is expected that from September 15 to September 18, the Recruitment Council will send a written notice to the candidate who does not meet the conditions and standards for recruitment. The Recruitment Council announced the list and called up candidates who meet the conditions and standards to take the second round.

Step 3: Organize round 2: Expected to be held from September 22 to September 25.

Step 4: Notice of recruitment results: It is expected that from September 25 to September 27, the Department of Education and Training will announce the recruitment results on the electronic information page; send a notice of acceptance of the recruitment results in writing to the candidates.

Step 5: The successful candidate completes the recruitment documents.

It is expected that from September 26 to October 25, within 30 days from the date of receipt of the notice of admission results, the successful candidate must go to the reception and return of results department at 1 of the 3 headquarters.

Step 6: The successful candidate receives the recruitment decision and goes to the assigned unit to receive the task.

It is expected that from October 1 to November 5, the Department of Education and Training will issue a recruitment decision and send the decision to the candidate for civil servant recruitment at the registered address and to the public service unit under which the candidate for civil servant recruitment is assigned to take up the task.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the teacher recruitment plan for the 2025-2026 school year.

Accordingly, high schools under the Department of Education and Training need to recruit 671 teachers. Of which, Area 1 (formerly Ho Chi Minh City) has 460 teachers; Area 2 (formerly Binh Duong province) has 157 teachers; Area 3 (formerly Ba Ria-Vung Tau) has 54 teachers.

For public service units under the People's Committees of wards, communes and special zones, the number of civil servants to be recruited is 5,726 for teacher positions. Of which, preschool is 615 teachers, primary school is 2,040, secondary school is 3,071.

Area 1 needs to recruit 3,089 teachers; Area 2 requires 1,990 teachers; Area 3 requires 647 teachers.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Ho Chi Minh City will have more than 2.5 million students with more than 3,500 schools, being the locality with the largest education scale in the country.
