The Ministry of Education and Training is seeking opinions on the draft Circular regulating codes, appointments and salary classification for teachers teaching in public educational institutions.
In the draft, teachers' salaries are classified from low to high according to new concepts such as: main teachers, senior teachers, etc., not divided into classes such as teachers of grades I, II, III as at present.
For preschool teachers, the lowest salary coefficient according to professional titles (preschool teachers) is 2.1 and the highest is 6.38 (high-level preschool teachers). Preschool teachers alone have not met the standard level, with salary coefficients from 1.86 to 4.00.
For primary, secondary and high school teachers, the lowest salary coefficient according to professional titles is 2.34 and the highest is 7.55 corresponding to the rankings: teachers, main teachers, senior teachers of each level of education.
Thus, with an expected coefficient of 2.1-7.55, teachers at all levels will receive a monthly salary of 4.9 to 17.66 million VND, not including special coefficients and allowances.
This salary has increased by about 2-3 million VND compared to the present.
