Thanh Hoa: Proposal to merge 2 universities
The Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training has just issued a document reporting to the Department of Home Affairs on proposing plans to reorganize public educational institutions in the area, to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.
Accordingly, for the two existing universities (under the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province), the Department of Education and Training proposed to merge the University of Culture, Sports and Tourism into Hong Duc University.

For colleges, it is proposed to keep the following schools: Agricultural College, Medical College. In particular, Thanh Hoa Industrial College merged with Nghi Son Vocational College to form Thanh Hoa Industrial College.

According to the draft plan to reorganize public service units, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will merge and reorganize the operating apparatus of universities and colleges.
According to the plan, Saigon University will be reorganized on the basis of merging with Ba Ria - Vung Tau Pedagogical College, keeping the name Saigon University.
For colleges, Ho Chi Minh City currently has 19 schools, of which 14 schools self-guarantee regular expenses, 4 schools self-guarantee regular expenses and 1 school self-guarantee regular expenses and investment expenses.
According to the plan, Saigon University will be reorganized on the basis of merging with Ba Ria - Vung Tau Pedagogical College because the main training field is pedagogical. The name Saigon University remains the same.
For colleges, Ho Chi Minh City currently has 19 schools, of which 14 schools self-guarantee regular expenses, 4 schools self-guarantee regular expenses and 1 school self-guarantee regular expenses and investment expenses.

Reorganize Binh Duong Medical College; Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College; Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics; Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics and Technology; Saigon Southern College of Technology; Nguyen Truong To Technical College; Thu Duc College of Economics and Technology; Ly Tu Trong College of Ho Chi Minh City; Ho Chi Minh City College of Transport; Thu Thiem College of Ho Chi Minh City; Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture and Arts.
Change the type of operation of the College of Technology and Business Administration from a semi-public school to a public school with financial autonomy.
Establishing a new Saigontourist College of Tourism - Hotel; Ho Chi Minh City College of Agriculture and Technology.
Expected plan to reorganize medical schools
The Ministry of Health has just submitted a plan to reorganize the system of public service units in the entire sector in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Committee on streamlining the organizational apparatus.
The medical training block continues to be maintained but has been adjusted to increase connectivity and streamline the network.
Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy will receive Hai Duong University of Medical Technology, while Hai Duong Central College of Pharmacy will merge into Hanoi University of Pharmacy. Key universities such as Hanoi Medical University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Nam Dinh University of Nursing are still under the Ministry of Health.

Article 3 of the Draft Resolution of the National Assembly on a number of specific mechanisms and policies to implement breakthroughs in the development of education and training states: Continue to arrange and restructure public higher education, vocational education and continuing education (except for educational institutions under the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs); merge vocational education centers and continuing education centers into vocational secondary schools by inter-ward and commune areas; implement in the direction of reducing focal points, linking professional management responsibilities with personnel and finance, eliminating intermediate levels, ensuring a streamlined, unified and effective management system.
In particular, the Ministry of Education and Training directly manages key universities and colleges or has been planned as a national key university in terms of technology and engineering assigned to lead a network of excellent and talented training centers and colleges performing the function of regional centers, national centers for high-quality vocational training and practice; the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism manage specialized vocational training universities.
Transfer the remaining educational institutions to local management, ensuring full and comprehensive autonomy for educational institutions that do not depend on the level of financial autonomy; research and merger of research institutes with higher education institutions (except for specialized public science and technology organizations).
