Promoting the digitization of the entire enrollment process
Hanoi Department of Education and Training has just issued guidelines for enrollment in 10th grade high schools for the 2026-2027 school year.
According to the instructions, students use the VneID account to log in and declare the application form at the City's first-level entrance portal (tsdaucap. hanoi. edu. vn).
For students who cannot register for online admission, they can register directly by declaring the Application Form for 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year according to the form and submitting it to the Department of Education. Educational institutions organize registration for students on the Entrance Examination Portal, guiding students to check and review according to regulations.
Registration for trial from April 4, 2026 to 5:00 PM on April 6, 2026. After the trial period, the system will delete all data registered for trial to prepare for official registration.
The official registration period is from April 10, 2026 to 24:00 on April 17, 2026. Students are not allowed to change their aspirations after the official registration period expires. At the end of the official registration period, the educational institution uploads and prints the Application Form and organizes for students to check, review, and sign confirmation.

Principles for considering aspirations
According to the guidance of the Department of Education and Training, candidates can register a maximum of three aspirations. Unlike every year, students are placed in any school, not bound by the enrollment area, and are not allowed to change aspirations after registration.
The admission score (ĐXT) is the total score of the 3 subjects Math, Literature, Foreign Language and bonus points, priority points (if any).
The aspirations are considered in parallel until all candidates meet the conditions, not prioritizing aspiration 1, lacking quotas to aspirations 2 and 3.
The principles for considering 10th grade exam aspirations in Hanoi are as follows:
Students who are admitted to nguyện vọng 1 will not be considered for nguyện vọng 2, nguyện vọng 3.
Students who are not admitted to nguyện vọng 1 are considered for nguyện vọng 2 but must have an admission score higher than the school's nguyện vọng admission benchmark by at least 0.5 points.
Students who are not admitted to nguyện vọng 1 and nguyện vọng 2 are considered for nguyện vọng 3 but must have an admission score at least 1 point higher than the admission benchmark for nguyện vọng 1 of the school.
When lowering the benchmark score, public high schools are allowed to admit students with aspirations 2 and 3 who meet the admission conditions.
The aspirations are considered in parallel until all candidates meet the conditions, not prioritizing aspiration 1, lacking quotas to aspirations 2 and 3.
In the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi has about 147,000 secondary school graduates, an increase of 20,000 compared to last year. The target for public schools is 88,000, including high schools, continuing education, and vocational schools. The Department has not yet announced the detailed targets for each school.
The 10th grade exam of Hanoi 2026 takes place in the last two days of May, about 10 days earlier than last year. Candidates registering for specialized schools will take an additional specialized subject exam on June 1.
