On August 27, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held a conference to summarize the 2024-2025 school year and deploy key tasks for the 2025-2026 school year.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City said that while we are preparing for a new school year with so much joy and excitement, out there, the people of the mountainous and midland provinces of the North and North Central regions are struggling to cope with the severe consequences of storms No. 4 and No. 5.
The flood swept away houses and properties, and the most painful thing was human life. Tens of thousands of people, including our colleagues, our students, are living in poverty, hardship, and a scene where the sky and sky glow.
"Therefore, promoting the noble tradition of "mutual love" of the nation, right at this conference, on behalf of the industry's leaders, and with all my hearts, I call on all delegates, managers, teachers, and staff in the entire industry, to, with their affection and responsibility, support flood victims and share to partly ease the losses and pain that our people are suffering" - Mr. Hieu emphasized.
According to the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, every contribution at this time, whether small or large, is invaluable. It is not only material support, but also humanity, a great source of spiritual encouragement to help people and especially students in flooded areas return to school soon, continue their learning journey.
The campaign period is from now (August 27) to September 9.
Right at the conference, many units donated to flood victims with hundreds of millions of VND.
