On December 16, the authorities are investigating and clarifying the case of a 3-year-old child who died at the B.M. kindergarten (Phu Dinh ward).
According to a quick report, at around 10:30 a.m. on December 11, Ms. T.T.T.T gave D.H.M (3 years old) about half a bowl of rice. While chewing, baby M had a itch and cough. Ms. T saw 2 rice grains in the baby's nose coming out, so she used a towel to mop them.
Ms. T continued to give M soup, then saw that the baby had stopped acting, so she continued to feed him normally. At this time, the child was cold and had symptoms of coughing. Seeing M eating slowly, Ms. T let her eat by herself and turned to take care of the other children.
Baby M sat with Ms. T's back, scooped up food for about 10 minutes. Ms. T turned around to look and saw the child showing signs of leaning on a chair, leaning back and forth as if he was about to faint. Thinking that M was sleepy, she held her baby back to the sink to wash her face. The child still had food in his mouth, so she used her hand to take it out. At this time, Ms. N.T.T.Tr also helped M lie in the bedroom.
Seeing M showing signs of fainting, Ms. T held him up and patted him on the back. The food was still in M's mouth, so she turned the baby up, used her hand to hook him, and at the same time used her mouth to blow air and the food in the baby's nose flowed out.
Seeing M's weak breath, the two teachers immediately called the owner of the facility, Ms. T.T.Th. down. Ms. Th performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation for the baby but to no avail. At 11am, the child was taken to the Phu Dinh Ward Health Station for emergency treatment and was confirmed dead by the doctor.
According to initial information, B.M kindergarten is licensed to operate with 2 classes, with a maximum of 50 children. At the time of the incident, the class had 18 children.
The cause of the incident is currently being investigated and clarified. B.M. kindergartens have been asked to temporarily suspend operations to serve the investigation.
