The great joy of the teaching staff
The Politburo issued Resolution 71 on breakthroughs in education and training development, with a series of key goals to build high-quality human resources.
To strongly innovate institutions, create specific and outstanding mechanisms and policies for the development of education and training, the Politburo directed the development of special and outstanding incentives for the teaching staff; increase vocational preferential allowances for preschool and general education institutions to a minimum of 70% for teachers, a minimum of 30% for employees, 100% for teachers in particularly difficult areas, border areas, islands, and ethnic minority areas.
Receiving this information, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong - a teacher at Nghi An Kindergarten (Nghe An) could not hide her joy and emotion. For her, this is a great encouragement for those who are day and night dedicated to caring for and raising children.
Ms. Huong said that the work of preschool teachers has specific pressures that few people understand. First of all, we must ensure absolute safety for children, take care of them from food, sleep, hygiene to study. Just a small mistake can make parents worried and dissatisfied. Therefore, it requires meticulousness, carefulness and a very high sense of responsibility from teachers.
Increasing vocational allowances is a great concern of the Party and State for the teaching profession, significantly improving teachers' income. For a long time, we have had to take care of our rice and fish sauce, and our income mainly depends on our salary, so life is still difficult. Especially, when a family has a child preparing to go to university, the cost of education and living becomes a burden" - Ms. Huong confided.
For the teaching staff, the policy of increasing vocational allowances also has great spiritual value. That is a word of encouragement, adding confidence and love for the profession to teachers. Preschool teachers are already struggling, but when we feel the attention and recognition of the State and society, we have more motivation to continue to contribute and stick with the profession" - Ms. Huong was moved.

Expectations to soon come into practice
Entering the new school year 2025 - 2026, teachers expect detailed guidance documents on the implementation of Resolution 71, especially the increase in allowances, to be issued soon.
Having worked in the profession for more than 20 years, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Trang - a teacher at Vinh Loc Secondary School (Tuyen Quang) is also excited and looking forward to it. "We have heard many times about improving the salary and benefits for teachers, but this time my colleagues and I really hope the policy will be implemented soon. This is a great source of encouragement, helping teachers to feel secure in their teaching profession - Ms. Trang shared.
For many years, the team of teachers, especially teachers in mountainous areas, have persistently stayed in school and class in difficult living conditions. Many teachers have to carry on many extra jobs to make ends meet, but are always diligent and devoted to their students.
"If the policy is put into practice soon, teachers' lives will be significantly improved. When we no longer have to carry the burden of food and clothing, we will have more motivation to wholeheartedly devote ourselves to the career of educating people, said Ms. Trang.
Ms. Trang's expectations and wishes are also the heart of many teachers across the country. The teaching staff always hopes that the policy will be concretized and implemented soon, so that the rights of teachers are practically guaranteed.
