On September 21, according to information from the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province, the whole province still had 433 students who had not yet gone to school (accounting for 0.20%). Of these, 18 were students in difficult circumstances.
Of the 433 children who have not yet gone to school, they are divided into 4 groups: 147 students follow their parents to work far away from home or work outside the province; 222 students do not have the conditions to go to school or transfer to vocational training; 9 students are sick or in poor health; 55 students have poor academic results or are not interested in studying.
Faced with this situation, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province requested the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of districts and cities of Ca Mau to continue reviewing and clarifying the reasons why students have not yet gone to school for each specific case. At the same time, urgently and drastically implement more appropriate, practical and effective solutions to support students going to school according to the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
It is known that in the 2023-2024 school year, Ca Mau province has 497 schools, 7,745 classes with more than 231,000 students. Of which, there are 524 students in the regular education system; 270 students of the Center for Supporting the Development of Inclusive Education in the province, 15,284 managers, teachers, and staff at all levels.
