On the morning of June 2, more than 11,600 candidates in Da Nang city completed the Literature exam, the first subject of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year. However, many candidates left the exam room in a confused mood, thinking that this year's exam was somewhat "difficult" for candidates.
The test still consists of two parts: reading and writing. The reading part revolves around a poem about useful living content. The writing part consists of two questions: Social discourse on how to persuade parents to trust and accompany their children to the good things in the future and literary discourse about an excerpt in the poem. The poem was selected as the work "Tell the year -end child" by poet Luu Quang Vu and not in the textbook.
Yen Dan contestant, taking the exam at Phan Chau Trinh School (Hai Chau District), shared: "This year's exam is quite difficult. The poem in the exam is not in textbooks, so candidates are required to use their own abilities to do the test. I think I only got about 7 points.
Contestant Bao Chau, a student at Le Loi Secondary School (Hoa Vang District) said: "For me, the most difficult part is writing a paragraph because the poem in the exam is the first time I have read it."
According to Bao Chau, the poem in the contest contains content about family affection and father-son affection. Therefore, this candidate had to apply the knowledge he had learned in class such as analyzing the content of the poem, then come to art to complete his exam.
