On October 2, the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ho Chi Minh City announced the Conclusion of Deputy Director Truong Hai Thanh at the Conference summarizing professional activities for the 2024-2025 school year and deploying tasks for the 2025-2026 school year for foreign language and IT centers.
Accordingly, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Truong Hai Thanh requested the centers to strictly implement current regulations and instructions; Absolutely do not organize extra teaching, extra learning, detention and care for boarding children without an operating license from the Department.
Centers must ensure teaching according to the prescribed program, plan and documents, in accordance with the 6-level Foreign Language Competency framework for Vietnam as well as English and Japanese language programs for practice.
Direct teachers to develop a lesson plan, ensuring that the time of classes and courses is made public for parents. Regularly inspect and supervise teaching organization to ensure lesson content and evaluate the quality of teaching lessons according to regulations.
The Department emphasized that centers need to strengthen management, maintain discipline, effectively implement solutions to improve training quality; at the same time, pay attention to personnel work, professional development for managers and teachers; strictly implement regulations on foreign teacher management.
The Department of Continuing Education - Vocational and University is urgently assigned to advise on the issuance of guidelines and tasks for the 2025-2026 school year for the centers.
The Department also requested coordination with the People's Committees of wards, communes and special zones to review and inspect the activities of centers that have not yet reported; at the same time, coordinate with specialized departments under the Department to inspect and propose handling of units that are not operating.
In addition, it is necessary to strengthen supervision of teaching and learning, linking teaching foreign languages and IT between centers and preschool and general education institutions.
