The Steering Committee for the Hanoi City High School Graduation Exam has just issued a decision on the establishment of a high school graduation exam inspection team in 2025.
There are 15 inspection teams established. The decision also clearly assigns specific inspection areas to each team.
The inspection team began performing the task from June 21 until the completion of the task.
General direction of the inspection team's activities is Ms. Vu Thu Ha, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the 2025 high school graduation exam and Director of Hanoi Department of Education and Training (DET) Tran The Cuong.
The inspection team is responsible for inspecting the work of ensuring facilities; security and safety conditions; disease prevention and control, environmental sanitation, food safety, and health care for candidates at high school graduation exam sites according to the exam regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, regulations of the Central and the city.
The Steering Committee for the exam of districts, towns and cities is responsible for establishing inspection teams to ensure the conditions for facilities; conditions for ensuring security and safety; disease prevention, environmental sanitation, food safety, and health care for candidates at exam locations in districts, towns and cities.
The Steering Committee for the exam of Cau Giay District and Tay Ho District is responsible for establishing an inspection team to ensure facilities; security and safety conditions; disease prevention, environmental sanitation, and food safety at the locations for organizing exam scoring and re-examination scoring in the area.
The Department of Education and Training is responsible for developing inspection contents and sending inspection teams to ensure compliance with regulations.
The inspection team works under a part-time regime, is paid for according to regulations and self-dissolved after completing the task.
The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place over two days, June 26-27, and is expected to have more than 1.1 million candidates, an increase of about 40,000 compared to last year.
In Hanoi, nearly 125,000 candidates registered to take the exam. Candidates complete the exam procedures on the afternoon of June 25.
The group of candidates taking the first graduation exam under the 2018 general education program must take four exams, including Math and Literature. In addition, students choose two subjects they have studied at school (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Language).
In the formula for calculating graduation scores, the scores of the subjects account for 50%; the rest are the transcript scores of grades 10, 11, 12 (50%) and priority scores if any. Compared to before, the academic transcript score increased by 20%.
Candidates taking the exam under the old program (2006) will take the Literature, Math, Foreign Language exam, at the same time as one of two subjects: Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civic Education).
The 2025 high school graduation exam score was announced on July 16. Last year, about 99.4% of more than a million candidates passed the graduation exam, the highest rate since 2015, when the exam was renewed.
