Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Anh Vu Thuy, born in 1974 in Binh Thuan (now Lam Dong province). He graduated with a Doctor of Dentistry from Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2000, successfully defended his doctoral thesis in Dentistry at Tokyo University of Dentistry, Japan in 2011 and was recognized as an Associate Professor in 2018.
In addition to regular training programs, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Anh Vu Thuy has completed the Interdisciplinary Certificate (Diplome Inter-Universitaire - DIU) on implemented surgery, periodontology and reformation issued by the University of Bordeaux (France) in 2013.
He also attended intensive training courses at Chulalongkorn University (Thailand) and Yonsei University (Korea) on oral diseases, periodology and dental transplant surgery. In addition, he is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Dentistry Association.
Before being appointed as Vice Principal, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Anh Vu Thuy held many management positions at the University of Health Sciences such as Head of the Postgraduate Training Department, Head of the Training Department, Head of the Dentistry Department.
During his work, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Anh Vu Thuy has chaired and participated in many research topics at all levels, and is the author of more than 100 scientific works, more than half of which were published in international peer-reviewed journals.
He was awarded many certificates of merit and titles from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Training and VNU-HCM, typically as "Outstanding teacher at the Ministry level" in 2022, "Initiative with effective application, scope of influence at the Ministry level" in 2023.
The University of Health Sciences was established on the basis of developing the Faculty of Medicine under VNU-HCM. This is the 8th member university of VNU-HCM.
The Faculty of Medicine of VNU-HCM was established in 2009, a training institution for health sciences, following the school - hospital model, closely combining training with scientific research and providing health care services.
