This is the second project of VNU-HCM and also the second project of the University of Health Sciences to start construction after many years without any new construction due to legal procedures. This project is expected to be completed in December 2025.

The project to build blocks YB1, YB2, YB3 and landscape infrastructure under the Vietnam National University Development Project - VNU-HCM sub-project, using loans from the World Bank with a total cost of nearly 470 billion VND, with a total floor area of 32,479.6m2.
The buildings are designed in a modern model, green and environmentally friendly architecture, connected together by a corridor system to increase connectivity, making it convenient to move between areas in the school.
Each building is 4 stories high, with a floor area of about 10,000-11,000m2; there is a teaching space, a laboratory, and a scientific practice area arranged scientifically, suitable for medical training and research.


The project also invests in modern learning and teaching equipment for classrooms and laboratories; at the same time, there are auxiliary works such as generators, parking lots, etc. to ensure favorable learning, research and living conditions for lecturers and students, improving the quality of training and research of the University of Health Sciences.
The YB1 building has a floor area of 10,815.1m2, 4 floors high and a roof of a staircase, arranged as an office block, classrooms, and classrooms serving the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Traditional Medicine.
The YB2 block has a floor area of 11,194.5m2, 4 floors high and a roof of a staircase, serving the Department of Dentistry and the Department of Nursing.
The YB3 building has a floor area of 10,470m2, including 1 basement, 4 floors and a covered terrace, which is where the office block, classrooms, and classrooms for the Department of Pharmacy and the Department of Public Health are arranged.
