On March 3, Thu Dau Mot University held a conference to announce the decision to the position of Chairman of the University Council.
Mr. Bui Minh Thanh - Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee attended the conference.
The conference announced the decision of the Provincial People's Committee on the resignation of Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong - Chairman of the Council of Thu Dau Mot University and early retirement; announced the decision of the Provincial People's Committee to recognize the election results of Mr. Le Tuan Anh (former Director of the Department of Information and Communications) to hold the position of Chairman of the Council of Thu Dau Mot University.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Tuan Anh said that he will work with the school to successfully complete the mission of training, research and development of Thu Dau Mot University in the coming time. In particular, focus on implementing human resource training to develop science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in Binh Duong province. Promote scientific research, strengthen linkages with businesses and international cooperation in technology transfer.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Minh Thanh thanked and expressed his gratitude for Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong's contributions to the development of Thu Dau Mot University in recent times.
With the new role and tasks, the provincial leaders believe that Mr. Le Tuan Anh will continue to promote his capacity, unite the school to effectively implement its development goals and strategies, and train human resources to serve the socio-economic development of the province in the coming period.
Thu Dau Mot University is the most student-owned school in Binh Duong province today, with about 20,000 students and trainees.
Mr. Le Tuan Anh, born in 1974, received a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Kyung Hee University (Korea) and continued to complete the PhD program there in 2012.
In 2016, he was recognized by the State Council of Professors as qualified to the title of Associate Professor.
In 2018, he was appointed Vice Principal of Thu Dau Mot University.
In 2020, he was transferred to the Department of Information and Communications, holding the position of Deputy Director. In May 2021, Mr. Le Tuan Anh was appointed Director of the Department of Information and Communications.
