Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School (Hanh Thong Ward) has announced the upcoming New Year's Day in 2026. Students will have 4 consecutive days off, from Thursday, January 1, 2026 to Sunday, January 4, 2026.

In the announcement, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Ngoc - Principal of Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School informed that according to the plan, the school will organize a New Year holiday for students in 2026 on Thursday, January 1, 2026 in accordance with regulations.
However, according to the wishes and recommendations of parents, in order for students and their families to have a complete and meaningful holiday, the school will organize an additional holiday for students on Friday, January 2, 2026 and will make up for it on Saturday, December 20, 2025.
"Thus, students will have 4 consecutive New Year's holidays, from Thursday, January 1, 2026 to Sunday, January 4, 2026", the announcement stated.
Previously, on December 9, at the Conference of the General Education Professional Committee of the first semester, teachers asked whether schools can give students an extra day off on Friday (January 2, 2026) on Thursday?
The leader of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that the Department has given schools the initiative, and principals will decide on giving students a day off on January 2.
According to the Department, schools can arrange for students to have a day off from Thursday (January 1, 2026) to Sunday (January 4, 2026), creating a 4-day holiday and organizing make-up classes.
