Training programs and admission methods
In 2026, Hanoi National University of Education enrolls 59 regular university training programs in 9 fields, including both pedagogical and non-pedagogical majors.
Among them, there are 8 new programs including: Education (Education and Communication), Sports Training, Geography (Geographical Resources and Environment), Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Chemistry (Chemistry and Pharmacy), International Studies and French Language (Applied French and International Communication).

The school implements two areas of admission simultaneously, including the special admission area and the common admission area. In which, the special area includes direct admission, sent admission and university preparatory exams.
With the common admission method, Hanoi National University of Education applies 3 forms: Considering high school graduation exam scores; considering candidates with outstanding abilities and achievements; considering the results of the SPT competency assessment exam organized by the school (not applicable to aptitude majors).
Candidates can register for multiple methods in the same admission code. The admission score of each method will be converted to the same 30-point scale, then the school uses the highest score for admission.
However, with the admission method based on outstanding achievements (PT2), each candidate can only register one wish for a single training program.

Regulations on input thresholds and admission conditions
The input quality assurance threshold is regulated according to each training program. Accordingly, for teacher training majors (except Physical Education, Music Pedagogy, Fine Arts Pedagogy), candidates must have grade 12 academic performance ranked Excellent or higher and meet one of two conditions: Total score of 3 high school graduation exam subjects according to the admission combination from 18 points or graduation consideration score from 8.5 or higher.
For aptitude majors and non-pedagogical major groups, candidates need to have 12th grade academic performance reaching "Good" or higher, and at the same time, achieve a total score of 3 combined subjects in the high school graduation exam from 16.5 points or a graduation consideration score of 6.5 or higher.
For aptitude majors such as Physical Education, Music Pedagogy, Fine Arts Pedagogy, candidates are required to take aptitude tests organized by Hanoi National University of Education. The school does not use exam results from other training institutions.
Candidates who do not take the SPT exam can use the results of the specialized competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Education before May 19 for admission according to the corresponding method.
Time milestones candidates need to remember
The school's 2026 enrollment plan is implemented in stages. In which, the SPT competency assessment exam is organized in 2 phases on May 23 - May 24 and May 30 - May 31; candidates register for the exam from March 15 to April 15.
The registration time for the aptitude test is from May 11 to May 22, the exam takes place from June 15 to June 17. The exam results will be announced before June 19.
Candidates register their admission aspirations on the Ministry of Education and Training's system from July 2nd to 14th. 7. The school plans to announce the benchmark scores and admission results before 5 pm on August 13th. 8.
For the admission method based on ability and outstanding achievements, the online application registration period is from May 21 to June 20, after which candidates still have to register their aspirations on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training according to regulations.
