According to the plan, from April 14 to before 5 pm on April 18, the Department of Education and Training will coordinate with the People's Committees of wards, communes, and special zones to deploy enrollment work.
From April 20 to 5 pm on April 26, commune-level People's Committees review, update and complete enrollment data.
No later than 5 pm on May 25, the first-grade enrollment plan will be updated on the city's enrollment portal.
From May 27 to 5 pm on June 7, parents register for enrollment, including registering by area to be allocated to the school and registering for special programs (high quality, advanced, international integration, integrated English, enhanced French...). Parents are allowed to register both contents at the same time.
From June 8th to 5pm on June 15th, the People's Committees of communes and 2 schools (South Saigon Secondary and High School, Luong The Vinh Secondary and High School) will conduct admissions, announce enrollment results for specialized programs and synchronize data on the system.
From June 16 to June 23, schools organize special programs and 2 schools (South Saigon Secondary and High School, Luong The Vinh Secondary and High School) organize the receipt of applications and guide parents to confirm online enrollment.
From June 24 to July 10, the Department of Education and Training will transfer data from candidates who have submitted applications to localities to serve the work of reviewing and allocating students in accordance with reality.
From July 11 to 5 pm on July 20, parents confirm online enrollment and submit applications according to allocation.
From July 21 to 5:00 PM on July 23, schools will complete the summary and report the enrollment results to the commune-level People's Committee for approval.
Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training notes that commune-level People's Committees must synchronize all enrollment results of all students to the first-level enrollment system at https://tuyensinhdaucap. hcm. edu. vn no later than 5:00 PM on July 10, 2026; do not synchronize according to each part, each stage or each individual group of subjects.
After the official enrollment period ends, the units report to the commune-level People's Committee on the number of candidates who have submitted applications. Based on actual data, the local Enrollment Steering Committee develops additional enrollment plans (if necessary) for schools that are still short of targets and sends them to the Department of Education and Training for coordination and implementation on the system.
The local enrollment steering committee must comprehensively review the enrollment situation, identify cases that have not been allocated to the school; clarify the causes, summarize and report in detail the arising issues to the Department of Education and Training (Quality Management Department) before the opening ceremony, in order to ensure the learning rights of students.
