Trial of a group of female students who beat their friend

On August 10, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Le Van Thanh (residing in Trung Chinh Commune, Thanh Hoa Province) - father of female student L.V.G.N (born in 2008), an 11th grade student at Nong Cong 2 High School - said that after many months of verification and investigation, the case of his daughter being beaten by a group of people is about to be brought to trial.

According to Mr. Thanh, the family has received a notice from the People's Court of Region 2 - Thanh Hoa (combining the People's Courts of the old Nong Cong and Quang Xuong districts) about the trial of a group of female students who beat his daughter, the time is August 13.

After more than 10 months since the incident (October 5, 2024), N's health has temporarily stabilized, she can walk, but her neck still has to limit movement. "Every time I remember the time when my wife and I took our children from one hospital to another for many months, from physical therapy to home care, we were still shaken" - Mr. Thanh said.

According to Mr. Thanh, the cost of treatment for her daughter is quite expensive, but so far the family has not received any support from the families of the female students who caused the injuries, even though they have repeatedly expressed their intention to help. "After all, I just hope the law enforcement agency will handle it strictly to set an example, deter, and contribute to eliminating school violence" - Mr. Thanh shared.

According to the indictment of the People's Procuracy of Nong Cong district (now the People's Procuracy of Region 2 - Thanh Hoa), at around 5:30 p.m. on October 5, 2024, in Thai Son village, Tan Phuc commune, the old Nong Cong district (now Trung Chinh commune), a group of female students including: Nguyen Thi Ngoc A, Nguyen Thi G, Nguyen Thi A, Hoang Thi Huyen T, Vu Le T and Le Phuong D - all students of high schools in the area - used their hands, feet, and helmets to beat L.V.G.N (at that time only 15 years, 10 months and 15 days old), causing 23% injuries.

The indictment determined that this behavior was dangerous to society, seriously violated the health of others and caused social disorder, and needed to be strictly handled.

gets arrested and then beaten

Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on October 4, 2024, a female student of class 10A6 (Nong Cong 2 High School) while returning from school saw a female student of class 10A5 walking behind her talking and joking with another friend. The female student of class 10A6 thought that you were defaming her, leading to an argument. On the afternoon of October 5, after school, the two female students continued to argue and disagree. After that, the school security dispersed and all the students left, but when they reached Tan Phuc commune, the old Nong Cong district (now Trung Chinh commune, Thanh Hoa province), a fight broke out.

As a result, an 11th grade female student (when intervening to stop a group of friends from fighting) was beaten and seriously injured (neck vertebrae), and had to be transferred to Viet Duc Hospital for treatment. After a period of treatment, the female student was taken home by her family for further monitoring and physical therapy. The injury assessment result was 23%.

On December 9, 2024, the Investigation Police Agency of the old Nong Cong District Police issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute 6 female students for the act of "intentionally causing injury".

Of the 6 defendants prosecuted, there are 2 students at Nong Cong High School and 4 students at Nong Cong 2 High School. All 6 female students were then chased by schools for 1 year.
