The Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway project through Tuyen Quang province is 77km long, with a total investment of nearly VND6,800 billion.
According to the Tuyen Quang Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the site has been handed over 64.4km of the entire route, reaching 92.4%.
There are still many bottlenecks in site clearance related to 265 households that have not approved compensation plans and compensation payments. Of which, Tuyen Quang city has 4 households, Yen Son district has 30 households, Ham Yen district has 120 households.
In package 20, there are 2.1 km that have not been handed over to construction units. Within the site clearance scope, there are 16 bottlenecks including 100 households, 1 organization and the entire power system on the main line.
At the starting point of the project in Nhu Khe commune (Yen Son district), to implement the expressway project, it is necessary to reclaim over 20 hectares of land from 129 households and 6 organizations.
According to the reporter, contractors are digging and filling the roadbed, building underpasses and box culverts. At some locations, site clearance and relocation of works and power lines are being continued to open the route.
Mr. Tran Van Tuyen - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nhu Khe commune - said that the locality is speeding up compensation and site clearance to hand over to the contractor. Currently, there are 7 households that have not received compensation, the government continues to mobilize and implement resettlement to help people soon stabilize their lives.
In the whole Yen Son district, there are still 61 households that have not received funding, 25 households have received money but have not yet handed over the site. The locality is actively propagating and at the same time developing a plan for enforcement against cases of intentional failure to hand over the site.
For the Ho Chi Minh Road construction project, the Cho Chu - Trung Son intersection section has a total length of nearly 29km. Of which, the section passing through Tuyen Quang province in Trung Son and Hung Loi communes (Yen Son district) is about 16.7km long.
The total cost of implementing the compensation, support and resettlement sub-project is over 161 billion VND, the reclaimed area is about over 67 hectares, with 77 households subject to relocation.
Currently, the inventory and measurement of households subject to compensation has just been completed. It is expected to arrange over 100 resettlement plots for households in affected areas.
Similar to the above projects, the road construction project from My Lam mineral stream tourist area to National Highway 2D connecting to Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway and the investment project to build a bridge and a bypass road to Son Duong town are also facing land clearance problems.
Mr. Tran Xuan Thiem - Director of the Land Fund Development Center of Tuyen Quang City - said that the city is clearing land for two key transport projects: Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway and the route from My Lam mineral stream to National Highway 2D, connecting Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho Expressway. Currently, there are 29 households that have not yet approved the handover, and the government is mobilizing resources and actively mobilizing to ensure construction progress.
