The landslide occurred on the night of December 3 on Mimosa Pass in Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, when rocks and soil from the positive slope suddenly slid down the road.
This area is located right on the temporary bypass road - where serious landslides have occurred from Km226+500 to Km226+800 on Mimosa Pass (National Highway 20.

That same night, the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Police in coordination with relevant units organized traffic diversion and temporarily stopped vehicles from traveling through the two ends of the pass to ensure safety.
According to Lam Dong Department of Construction, the landslide from the positive slope slid down to the area of Km226+500 to Km226+800, extending nearly 100 m from near the top of the hill to the road surface.

Through preliminary inspection, there were no cracks in the hilltop area, however, the water still flowed continuously along the landslide.
At 1:00 p.m. the same day, on Mimosa Pass, there were still 3 fallen pine trees blocking the road, and the forces were trying to sawed up trees to clear the scene.
To ensure traffic safety, the Traffic Police and Lam Dong Police have blocked the two ends of Mimosa Pass to guide vehicles to travel up and down Da Lat through Sacom Pass and Prenn Pass.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper: Due to heavy rain lasting from the afternoon of 3 to early this morning, Mimosa Pass continued to experience serious landslides.

The landslide forced the authorities to temporarily suspend traffic to ensure safety and deploy handling measures.
