Since the beginning of June, the weather in the Dai Ninh Pass area in Binh Thuan province has often had rain in the afternoon. However, the progress of the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 28B is still being accelerated because the project will be completed early, which will make travel for people in Binh Thuan and Lam Dong provinces more convenient after the merger.

At the construction area of overpass No. 2, workers rushed to complete the work before 2:00 p.m. to avoid rain in the forest in the afternoon and evening. This is also the longest of the 6 overpasses in the Dai Ninh Pass area, with the task of straightening the route and reducing the slope at the hand-to-hand corners.

42 bored piles are constructed on the rock and soil foundation with a depth of 20 - 30 m to create stability for the overpass due to the complex geological layer of this area. Engineers and workers are speeding up the progress, striving to complete the bridge surface by August 2025.

With harsh terrain, complex geological terrain and located in the middle of Dai Ninh Pass, this is considered one of the sections with the most difficult construction conditions.

Along with the construction of overpasses, many sections of the route are also being paved with asphalt. As of early June, 60% of the sections have basically completed the upgrading, creating ventilation for vehicles participating in traffic.

To ensure the technical asphalt paving of the road surface, a construction supervisor said he encouraged workers to take advantage of the asphalt paving during the sunny days to avoid the rain while paving.
The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 28B, the section passing through Binh Thuan and Lam Dong provinces, is about 69 km long, of which the section passing through Binh Thuan province is about 51 km. The starting point of the route intersects with National Highway 1 in Bac Binh District, Binh Thuan Province. The end point intersects with National Highway 20 in Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province. The total investment of the project is about 1,400 billion VND.

The project is invested by the Vietnam Road Administration and this unit assigned Project Management Board 5 to manage the project. The project is invested according to the scale of a level III plain road, a 12 m wide roadbed, an 11 m wide road surface, and a design speed of 80 km/h.
After completing the renovation and upgrading, National Highway 28B will meet the transportation needs on the East - West corridor, supporting socio-economic development and regional tourism.
