At noon on June 3rd, the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police said that the unit had just coordinated with the traffic police force and functional forces to successfully rescue a driver trapped in the cabin after a traffic accident occurred in Dinh Trang Thuong commune.
Previously, at about 2:15 am on the same day, the Fire and Rescue Police Department received a report from Dinh Trang Thuong Commune Police about a truck overturning at Km67+900 on DT725 road.
According to initial information, a truck with license plate 60C-739. 92 carrying fertilizer was traveling in the direction from Dinh Trang Thuong commune to Phuc Tho Lam Ha commune. When arriving at the above location, the vehicle suddenly overturned.
The accident caused Mr. Sam Van Huong (44 years old, residing in Dong Nai province), the car owner and assistant driver, to be thrown off the vehicle and die on the spot. Driver Nguyen Minh Tri was trapped in the deformed cabin, unable to escape on his own.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 18 dispatched 1 specialized vehicle and 6 officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy rescue operations.
After more than 2 hours of using specialized equipment to cut and break the cabin, at about 4:35 am, functional forces brought the driver out alive and handed him over to the medical force for emergency treatment.
Currently, the cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
