These days, Mr. Hoang Hai - the owner of a transportation business in Tuyen Quang province is struggling to find a way to convert the toll collection account to a linked traffic account for non-cash payments for nearly 20 trucks of the unit. However, this is also facing many problems.
According to Mr. Hai, private vehicles can be converted to traffic accounts and linked to normal electronic payment wallets. However, for businesses with many transport vehicles that want to directly link to the business's bank account to issue invoices, they cannot do so.
"The October 1 deadline is approaching, and we are also worried that if we cannot connect to the traffic account, vehicles will have difficulty passing through the BOT toll station, while our transportation activities are mainly long-distance," Mr. Hai worried.

According to statistics from the Vietnam Road Administration, as of September 25, only 3 million accounts out of a total of 5.8 million vehicles nationwide had completed account conversion. Units are propagating and recommending people to quickly switch to travel conveniently, not causing congestion at toll stations due to payment problems.
Meanwhile, the customer group is transportation businesses, currently there are about 300,000 units with more than 600,000 vehicles and will not be able to change the payment method according to the requirements of Decree 119.
Most businesses have difficulty in the conversion process when they want to pay to their bank accounts but the system cannot meet the requirements.
This is due to the ETC system's requirement to process transactions for less than 0.2 seconds to maintain traffic speed at toll lanes. While the direct connection with the bank is not yet able to meet this technical requirement.
According to Mr. Le Quang Hung - Sales Director of VETC Automatic Toll Collection Company Limited: "Currently, there is no wallet on the market for businesses, e-wallets are mostly for individuals to pay for daily expenses, while businesses do not use e-wallets ''.
From the above reality, service providers have reported and recommended to the Department of Roads, the Ministry of Construction and the State Bank to study and propose the most effective solution.
