To implement the project to renovate and expand Nguyen Tuan Street, Thanh Xuan District (Hanoi) will reclaim and clear 14,334 square meters of land from 11 organizations and 160 households and individuals.
By October 15, all organizations, households and individuals had agreed to hand over the site to Thanh Xuan district to implement the project.
According to Lao Dong's records on the afternoon of October 29 and the morning of October 30, some constructions at the intersection with Nguyen Trai Street, in front of the Industrial Glass and Ceramics Research Institute (Ministry of Industry and Trade), have been dismantled, and the area here has gradually become clear.
Most of the households in the Nguyen Tuan Street expansion project area have moved to new residences. Currently, there are still some shops and businesses that are staying while waiting to rent new premises.
According to the Thanh Xuan District People's Committee, the project has completed the selection of a contractor. It is expected that the demolition of the works will be completed by early December 2024.
After that, the investor will hand over the site to the contractor to carry out construction on the entire route. Thanh Xuan District strives to complete the project and put it into use by mid-2025.
The project to renovate and expand Nguyen Tuan Street was approved by Thanh Xuan District People's Committee in 2018, with a total investment of nearly 400 billion VND.
The project is 720m long, starting at the intersection with Nguyen Trai Street, ending at alley 162 Nguyen Tuan, with a cross-section expanded to 21m, including a 15m wide roadway and 2 sidewalks each 3m wide.
After completion, Nguyen Tuan Street expansion is expected to help reduce traffic congestion in the area, beautify the urban area, and contribute to the socio-economic development of Hanoi in general and Thanh Xuan district in particular.
