Recently, the Ministry of Construction has continuously issued telegrams and directives and sent working groups to directly visit the provinces of Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak and Lam Dong to inspect and guide response and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. Road management units are required to be on duty 24/7 and mobilize human resources and equipment according to the "4 on-site" motto.
The Ministry of Construction said that by 10:00 a.m. on November 24, 2025, heavy rain and floods had caused serious flooding and landslides, causing hundreds of traffic jams. Although central and local forces have made efforts to implement many solutions, the amount of damage on the national highway system is huge, there are still 15 locations of traffic jams on national highways managed by the locality.
According to the Ministry of Construction, national highways managed by the Central Government have been completely cleared since 4:30 p.m. on November 22, 2025. However, on national highways managed by the locality, there are still 13 locations of traffic jams on National Highway 27C and 2 locations on National Highway 20.

In Khanh Hoa, there are 12 locations blocked by landslides on the negative slope and the positive slope. Notably, at Km44+410 of National Highway 27C, the Provincial People's Committee has requested Military Region V to support rock breaking and blasting to clear obstacles, expected to open one lane to traffic at 6:00 p.m. on November 24, 2025. Khanh Hoa Department of Construction has temporarily banned vehicles from going to Khanh Le Pass and organized two alternative routes through National Highway 1, National Highway 26, National Highway 27 and Lien Khuong - Prenn Expressway.
In Lam Dong, there is still a location of traffic jam on National Highway 27C, section Km65+800 - Km66, expected to open to traffic on November 25, 2025. On National Highway 20, two locations at D'ran Pass and Mimosa Pass are being urgently repaired, expected to open to traffic on November 25 and 30, 2025, respectively. Traffic routes through National Highway 20, National Highway 27 and DT.725 are organized to reduce congestion.
The Vietnam Road Administration has sent leaders and staff to directly monitor the scene in the Central and Central Highlands, and at the same time established working groups to support Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong in overcoming the consequences and ensuring traffic on affected national highways. Up to now, the Department has supported 12,000 steel baskets for the localities of Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Lam Dong, and requested the Road Management Zones to continue to supplement materials when necessary.
In addition, the Vietnam Road Administration maintains a 24/7 disaster prevention command regime to promptly operate and support localities.
