On the morning of October 30, Lam Dong provincial authorities said that they are urgently assigning relevant units to develop a plan to handle about 60,000 m3 of rock and soil on the high hill at risk of landslides down to D'ran Pass to ensure safety.

On the afternoon of October 29, while handling the number of pine trees at risk of falling on D'ran Pass, workers discovered a large crack along the hill, so they reported it to relevant units.
Through inspection, the area of the land where the cracks appeared was about 3,500 m2 and was over 30 m high, the estimated volume of soil and rock that needed to be treated was about 60,000 m3.

Currently, relevant units are planning to handle this rock and soil before allowing vehicles to travel through D'ran Pass.
Regarding the handling of cracks on the road surface, currently, Thanh Nam Construction Investment Joint Stock Company 886 - National Highway 20. maintenance unit is coordinating with units to assess and develop a solution.

Currently, the location of the landslide and subsidence on D'ran Pass still has the potential risk of landslides, so the authorities have not allowed vehicles to circulate.
The authorities have issued warning signs and instructions at both ends of the pass to help vehicles find other safer routes.

Along with that, the police force also arranged forces on duty 24/7 to regulate and guide vehicles.
To ensure safety, the authorities have advised vehicles from Khanh Hoa province to move to Da Lat in the direction of Ngoan Truong Pass.

The Lam Dong Police Department recommends choosing a route from D'ran commune to National Highway 27, then loops out onto National Highway 20 to go to Da Lat through Prenn Pass or Mimosa Pass to ensure safety and avoid landslides.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper: Last night, October 28, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, at around 8:00 p.m. the same day, rocks and soil from the positive slope suddenly slid down the surface of D'ran Pass, obstructing traffic.

In addition, the authorities also discovered a cracked road surface near Cau Treo, at risk of subsidence.
