On September 23, the Military Command of D'Ran commune (Lam Dong) said that it is coordinating with the People's Committee of Xom Ga and Phu Thuan village to mobilize forces to support the overcoming of the bridge collapse incident and open temporary roads for people.
These are households isolated after the civil concrete bridge collapse incident that occurred on the afternoon of September 19 due to the impact of heavy rain.
Forces and people cleared trees, soil and rocks, cleared and leveled the affected area, gradually widening walkways, creating conditions for people to pass safely while waiting for a long-term recovery plan.
Local authorities continue to monitor the developments of rain and floods, warning people to limit crossing bridges and roads damaged or at risk of landslides.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, in the afternoon of September 19, water from the Suoi Cat bridge area flowed in large volumes, causing the bridge foot to landslide, leading to the concrete bridge at Xom Ga collapsing.
The incident caused 8 households with 35 people to be isolated. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Immediately after the incident, functional forces stretched out warning ropes, prevented people from passing through the collapsed bridge area and organized guards.
By 6 pm on the same day, police and standing militia were continuously deployed at the scene to monitor developments, warn people and prevent access to dangerous areas.
