From the early morning of September 18, heavy rain appeared over a large area in Da Nang. By about 7 am of the same day, many streets in Da Nang were flooded.
In Lien Chieu district, streets such as Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Luong Bang, and Bac Son were flooded up to half a wheel, and low-lying areas were heavily flooded.
This is also rush hour, so many motorbikes have to line up to get through flooded sections. Especially at the Hue Intersection area, there is a section where the rainwater is up to the wheels, making it impossible for many people to move.
Many people had to move to the sidewalk but still could not go because the water flooded all the roads.
In Hai Chau district, many streets were flooded since 6am. Especially on Nui Thanh and Tieu La streets, many people could not move because the water was almost up to the motorbike wheels.
Ms. Ly - a resident of Da Nang City - worried: "Due to the nature of my job, I have to go to work at 6am, but the water on Nui Thanh and Tieu La streets is already up to half the wheel. Therefore, I have to drive slower than usual, afraid that I will be late for work."
In Ngu Hanh Son and Son Tra areas, heavy rain also caused flooding on main roads such as Ngu Hanh Son and Khanh Hoa...
Previously, the Central Central Hydrometeorological Forecasting Agency issued a flood warning in the city.
In the past 6 hours (from 0:00 - 06:00 on September 18), there has been light to moderate rain, with heavy rain in some places in Da Nang city. Total rainfall in some places is as follows: Hoa Khe: 27.2mm, Thac Gian Lake: 27.8mm, Thuy Loi Branch: 30.6mm.
