Many tourism projects occupy the full space adjacent to the sea, making the beach area and public park narrow. Therefore, the addition of planning and investment in building coastal routes through the center of Phan Thiet city is essential.
The Party Committee of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee said that the scope of researching the coastal route through Phan Thiet city has a starting point (Km0) from the roundabout of DT.706B road, Phu Hai ward and the end point (Km14+600) intersects with DT.719 road in Cambodia, Tien Thanh commune. Research length is about 14.6 km. Scale of cross section of the entire line invested with 6 standard motor vehicles, of which the cross -sectional scale is 36.5 m. Expected total project investment cost is about 9,493 billion dong. Project implementation period of 2025 - 2030.
In addition, the coastal road project through Phan Thiet city and the overpass of Ca Ty and Phu Hai river and Phu Hai has implemented the sea leveling about 84.8 ha to implement the project. Sea encroachment areas after the planning will be the nature of a modern, harmonious urban area with nature by organizing coastal trees, central parks of the region, creating a beautiful landscape for the planning area in particular and for Phan Thiet city in general.
On May 19, after listening to the reports and opinions of the departments and branches, the Secretary of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Hoai Anh said that the coastal route of Phan Thiet city center included in the provincial planning period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, the provincial Party Committee and the provincial People's Council included in the list of key projects and projects on public investment in the period of 2026 - 2030. The coast is open and modern, creating a highlight for the city is essential, one of the key tasks that contribute to promoting coastal economic development, strengthening the connection of the North -South economic corridor and the East -West Economic Corridor of the province.
The Standing Committee of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee basically agreed on the planning plan of coastal roads through Phan Thiet city and the land fund planning was formed from the project investment at the proposal of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, proposing urgently supplementing and completing relevant plans to implement project investment and planning research, promoting the effectiveness of coastal land fund formed from the project.
Up to now, the coastal route in Binh Thuan province has invested in exploiting Lien Huong - Binh Thanh (5.8 km) section; section of Song Luy - Hoa Thang bridge (23 km); DT.706B (16.4 km); DT.706B - Hung Vuong Bridge (4 km); DT.719 Ke Ga - Tan Thien (32.5 km) and the section passing La Gi town (6 km). The construction of DT.719B, Phan Thiet - Ke Ga section (25.6 km) and the section of Hon Lan - Tan Hai (8.7 km). Currently, Binh Thuan province is proposing the Central Government to support the central budget capital to invest in the Phan Ri Cua - Binh Thanh route about 16.5 km and the Tan Thang - Thang Hai route (about 12.5 km).
