At about 9 am on August 31, at the intersection between the residential road and the railway line Da Lat - Trai Mat, belonging to Xuan Truong ward - Da Lat, a collision occurred between a car and a tourist train.
According to initial information, at the above time, a driver (identity unknown) was driving a car on a residential road, heading from National Highway 20 to Ho Xuan Huong street.
When arriving at the intersection with the railway, the car suddenly had an accident and stalled. At this moment, a train carrying tourists arrived and hit the car.
According to the leader of Da Lat Railway Station, the collision caused the car to be damaged in the shell, fortunately no one was injured.
After the incident, the train temporarily stopped traveling to resolve the incident. A few minutes later, the car driver worked with representatives of the railway industry to agree on remedial measures. The train then continued to operate, serving tourists as planned.
The Da Lat - Thap Cham railway was built by the French in the period 1908 - 1932, about 84km long, including 16km of serrated railway over hilly terrain.
Currently, this railway line is only operating for tourism, the Da Lat - Trai Mat station section is about 7km long. The remaining section has stopped operating.
