The Son Duong town bypass project started construction in November 2021. The project is invested by the Department of Transport of Tuyen Quang province (now the Department of Construction).
According to the reporter, after more than 3 years of construction, the road has been basically completed. Currently, contractors are focusing on completing more than 300 meters of the final section of the route, synchronously constructing auxiliary items.

At the construction site, dozens of workers and machinery were mobilized to implement the project. In addition to completing the road surface and connecting to the Pho Day River overpass, workers are reinforcing the positive slope and auxiliary items.
All human and material resources are mobilized to construct the last 300m section of the route. Meanwhile, most of the route has been paved with asphalt, sidewalks, lighting systems, signs, and lane markings.

Previously, due to the complex terrain of the road, workers were forced to break rocks to open the road. The use of specialized machines to drill and punch on the rocky terrain has caused the construction of the project to take a long time.
According to the representative of the construction unit ( 27/7 Company), due to the hard rock foundation, the contractor had to adjust the design of some items such as positive slopes, sidewalks, and drainage systems, so the implementation time was longer than expected.
Currently, the main items of the project have been basically completed. The contractor is focusing on human resources working day and night to complete the final stages, striving to complete the route before the April 30 and May 15 holidays.
After completion, the project will avoid congestion for people and vehicles when passing through Son Duong town. At the same time, it will open a new urban development axis for Son Duong district, quickly connecting to QL.17. Promote the economic and social development of the locality.
