On the morning of November 17, the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Province Police said that prolonged heavy rain caused landslides and fell trees at Km205+400 on Ngoan Cach Pass.
The incident caused National Highway 27 - the main traffic route connecting Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa - to be completely blocked in both directions.

The main cause was determined to be rainfall from the night of November 16 to the morning of November 17 up to 187mm/24 hours, combined with weak geology, reformed stone and a developed crack system, leading to landslides.
Immediately after the incident, the authorities deployed emergency response forces, inspected the scene and ensured traffic safety.

The Traffic Police Department has set up checkpoints, temporarily prohibiting vehicles from traveling through the pass, and at the same time advised people and drivers not to pass through Ngoan Truc Pass in the next 2436 hours.

In addition, heavy rain also caused deep flooding on National Highway 20, the section passing through Hiep Thanh Commune at the foot of Prenn Pass, making traffic difficult. The authorities are on duty to regulate and ensure safety.

Currently, Khanh Le Pass connecting Da Lat - Khanh Hoa is also stopped traffic due to serious landslides. The related incident caused an accident on Phuong Trang's passenger bus, killing 6 people and injuring 19 others.
