On November 17, the authorities of Xuan Huong - Da Lat ward, Lam Dong province are urgently regulating traffic in the area of a serious landslide on Prenn Pass, near the Da Lat inter-provincial bus station.
At the scene, a large section of Prenn Pass, tens of meters long on the negative slope, from Duc Trong to Da Lat, had collapsed into the pine forest area below.
Many long cracks appeared on the road, posing a potential risk of further landslides; some other landslides were also recorded on the route.
Immediately after the incident, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi and related units were present to survey and propose a solution.
Traffic through the area is currently very difficult; people can choose an alternative route through Mimosa Pass to Da Lat.
On the same day, many passes connecting Lam Dong - Khanh Hoa such as Khanh Le and Song Pha also suffered serious landslides. Khanh Le Pass alone has many landslides, killing 6 people and injuring 13 others.
