Previously, Lam Dong voters petitioned many times that National Highway 28, the section through Di Linh district, Lam Dong province, is small and narrow, but has not been resolved. Voters petitioned the Ministry of Transport to soon consider expanding and upgrading the national highway to create conditions for local economic development.
Regarding the above-mentioned voters' petition, the Ministry of Transport said that according to the Road Network Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, National Highway 28 is about 309km long, level III-IV scale, 2-4 lanes.
The current status of National Highway 28 through Di Linh district, Lam Dong province is about 94.5km long, level IV scale, 5.5m wide road surface.
Currently, due to resource difficulties, the Ministry of Transport has not been able to allocate capital to invest in renovating and upgrading National Highway 28 through Di Linh district, Lam Dong province in the period of 2021 - 2025.
The Ministry of Transport acknowledges the voters' recommendations and in the process of developing a medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026 - 2030, based on the ability to balance resources and the principles of capital allocation according to regulations, the Ministry of Transport will consider reporting to the competent authority to invest in National Highway 28 according to the voters' recommendations.
In the past time, the Ministry of Transport has assigned the Vietnam Road Administration to prioritize the implementation of road maintenance work and in 2025 it is expected to continue to allocate about 24 billion VND to continue maintenance and repair to ensure safe and convenient operation of the road.
