Previously, Ninh Thuan voters reported that National Highway 27B, the section passing through Bac Ai district, Ninh Thuan province, is still narrow, affecting traffic safety.
Voters recommend that authorities soon invest in upgrading and expanding the above road.
Responding to this issue, the Ministry of Transport said that according to the Road Network Planning for the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision to 2050, National Highway 27B through Ninh Thuan province is 44km long, level III, 2 - 4 lanes; the current status of the route is level IV, 2 lanes.
Currently, due to resource difficulties, the Ministry of Transport has not been able to allocate capital to invest in National Highway 27B through Bac Ai district, Ninh Thuan province in the period of 2021 - 2025.
The Ministry of Transport acknowledges the voters' recommendations. In the process of developing a medium-term public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period, based on the ability to balance resources and the principles of capital allocation according to regulations, the Ministry of Transport will consider reporting to the competent authority to invest in National Highway 27B.
To ensure traffic safety on the route, the Ministry of Transport has assigned the Vietnam Road Administration to carry out maintenance and repair work in 2023 and 2024 with a budget of about 28 billion VND. In 2025, it is expected to continue to allocate about 18 billion VND to continue maintenance and repair to ensure safe and convenient operation of the route.
