Regarding the problem of the road markings at the exit of the National Highway 28 intersection on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, on the South - North section that Lao Dong Newspaper reported, on June 14, Mr. Pham Quoc Huy, Executive Director of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway project, said that the units have coordinated to inspect the scene to handle the problems.

The inspection team was chaired by the Road Management Office IV.1 and was joined by representatives of the Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6, Department 6, Traffic Police Department; Department of Construction of Binh Thuan province; Project Management Board 7 (Ministry of Transport) and the unit managing and maintaining this expressway.
After inspecting the entire scene, the units made a record of the scene inspection. Accordingly, the traffic organization plan on the route is consistent with actual exploitation conditions and approved design documents, however, it is necessary to adjust and supplement some contents.

For example, at the National Highway 28 intersection at Km208+701, South - North direction, the inspection team agreed to reduce the length of line 3.2 (line of straight, white, line width of 45 cm on the expressway) from 72 m to 35 m. At the same time, extend the arrangement of line 3.3 (line of broken, white) by 40 m to create favorable conditions for vehicles when separating the lane to the branch road. The implementation time is before June 20, 2025.
As reported by Lao Dong, on social networking sites, many drivers reported that the roadline at the exit of the National Highway 28 intersection when traveling on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway in the South - North direction has a short cross-line length, while the consecutive straight line is too long.
This caused drivers to change lanes in the broken lane to turn right onto the exit and ran up the straight line to change lanes, which was punished by the traffic police. The issue of road markings that are considered a "ptongry" for drivers at this location has been discussed and stirred up with many opinions on social networking sites.

Also according to the Executive Director of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet - Pham Quoc Huy expressway project, the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway project, before construction and putting into operation, went through many steps of inspection and design document inspection. Therefore, the contractor only follows the design, not arbitrarily adjusting. However, through receiving feedback from the driver and people, the units have organized a crime scene inspection and will have appropriate adjustments.
The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway is 100.8 km long, the entire route passes through Binh Thuan province and has 5 intersections. Currently, the road surface has 4 lanes, some locations have emergency stopping strips. The maximum speed on this expressway is 90 km/h.
