This morning (October 17), at the Ngoc Hoi - Ring Road 3 intersection (Do Muoi Street, in front of Nuoc Ngam bus station), while cycling to school, a 9th grade student studying in Hoang Liet, Hanoi City unfortunately collided with a truck. The incident tragically killed the student.
According to some witnesses, at that time, the student was riding a bicycle in the direction from Ngoc Hoi to Giai Phong. When passing the above intersection, he collided with a truck with license plate 89H-084.XX turning right towards Do Muoi Street. As a result, the truck dragged the bicycle and the victim under the bus, causing the victim to die on the spot.
People here said that the student was in grade 9 in Hoang Liet ward, and at the time of the collision, he was still wearing a pair on his shoulder and cycling to school.
Talking to reporters, the leader of Road Traffic Police Team No. 14 confirmed the incident and said that because the incident occurred during rush hour in the morning, in addition to coordinating with the investigation agency, the unit also increased traffic diversion forces.
The cause of the incident is currently being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
