On November 19, the leader of Tuy Phuoc Traffic Police Station under the Traffic Police Department, Binh Dinh Provincial Police confirmed that a motorbike crashed into the back of a truck stopped on National Highway 1, causing 1 person to die on the spot.
According to initial information, at around 9:36 p.m. on November 18, Mr. Nguyen Minh D (born in 1989, residing in Phuoc Hiep commune, Tuy Phuoc district) was driving motorbike 77Y1-7457 on National Highway 1 in the South-North direction. When he reached the section of National Highway 1 in Phu My 2 village (Phuoc Loc commune, Tuy Phuoc district), he crashed into the back of truck 75E-017.60 parked on the side of the road.
The strong impact caused Mr. D to fall onto the road and die on the spot. Immediately afterwards, the authorities arrived at the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
According to the road sector, the location of the accident was flat, smooth, and had adequate lighting. The route is managed by Binh Dinh BOT Investment Company Limited.
According to the leader of Tuy Phuoc Traffic Police Station, the area where the accident occurred has many households selling auto parts. Therefore, there are many trucks stopping and parking to buy spare parts without warning signals, posing many potential risks of traffic accidents.
"Recently, the force has been regularly deployed to handle violations, but has only been able to handle the tip of the iceberg. To handle the situation thoroughly, local authorities must strictly manage business activities along National Highway 1, requiring businesses to arrange parking spaces and not let trucks park along National Highway 1. In addition, the station also coordinates to handle violations," he said.
