Towards the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWA) and Vietnamese Women's Day on October 20, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union will organize activities including: Ceremony to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union; Receiving the First Class Labor Medal; The 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Vietnam Women's Union; Awarding the Vietnam Women's Award in 2025; summarizing the Special Emulation Round to celebrate the country's major holidays.
The event was attended by 750 delegates, including representatives of the Party and State leaders, leaders of departments, ministries, branches of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, female Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, female Heroes of Labor in the renovation period; leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Women's Union of provinces and cities; collectives, individuals, typical examples of women with outstanding achievements in implementing the work of the Association and in various fields of life and society.
The commemorative activities aim to create a vibrant competitive atmosphere among cadres, members, and women nationwide; arousing the tradition of solidarity, creativity, and aspiration for the rise of Vietnamese women. This is also an opportunity to affirm the maturity of the Association organization and the women's movement, promoting the active role of women in building the Party, the political system and developing the country. The activities not only contribute to promoting the successful implementation of socio-economic, national defense and security tasks, but also spread the spirit of innovation and integration, associated with the celebration of the Party Congress, the Fatherland Front Congress and the Women's Congress at all levels.
In particular, the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Vietnam Women's Union was held with the theme: "Vietnamese women are united, innovative, creative, competitive to build a developed, strong and prosperous Vietnam", expressing the will, aspiration and determination of women nationwide in the new period. This is an opportunity to honor and spread out typical examples; at the same time, continue to affirm the core role of the Vietnam Women's Union in mobilizing and organizing patriotic emulation movements, contributing to the successful implementation of the country's sustainable development goals.
The official delegates of the Congress are 340 delegates, representing 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam and representing religions. The Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union decided to award Certificates of Merit to 81 collectives and 255 outstanding and exemplary individuals in various fields.
