On May 13, Ms. Thanh Nguyen - Executive Director ofams & inspiring Happiness, Anphabe Joint Stock Company said that the above information is included in the report "Overcoming disruption - from chaos to formation".
The report is based on the survey results of 380 HR leaders at businesses and 12,948 people working, conducted from November 2024 to March 2025.
Anphabe's survey at the end of 2024 recorded that 28% of enterprises in Vietnam have made large-scale organizational streamlining moves and about 10% of other enterprises said they will continue to streamline in 2025. This situation occurs in all sectors from retail, express consumption, tourism, finance, and manufacturing.
Notably, according to Ms. Thanh Nguyen, there is a development outside the "streamlining" strategy that this process will create a negative effect: many key positions will be left vacant and accumulated knowledge will gradually disappear.
46% of enterprises in Vietnam admitted that they are having difficulty attracting quality talent due to the process of streamlining the company, which has violated talent development plans.
In fact, in 2024, there will be up to 8% of human resources in the group of even though connected, still leaving. This rate is much higher than the 3% in 2022 and 2023. Therefore, cutting and streamlining the organization, although it can ease short-term burdens, can easily lead to a long-term "pull-out" of capacity," Ms. Thanh Nguyen emphasized.

According to a survey by Anphabe, only 49% of human resources feel connected to the company. Of the 10 people who go to work, only 4 "found joy and excitement at work" but at the same time, 4 staff members "not seeing their future at the company in the next 2 years".
In addition to 17% of employees sharing their intention to quit their jobs in the next 6 months, up to 48% said they are still open or active in seeking new opportunities a clear sign of the phenomenon of not actually quitting work but still resting in mind.
